Problems w/2003 sea ray 200

I need trouble shooting help!!!! I have a sea ray200 2003 and doesn't seem to keep a charge. Won't crank from the ignition switch but will crank when I tap the slave solenoid... If it's in neutral and idles then it only stays crank for a couple of minutes. Any suggestions?

not charging could be a few things, alt output not connected to battery, alt is bad.alt runs a orange wire back to the main stud on starter.

can you make it clearer? simply tapping the slave should not cause it to crank the motor unless slave is bad.
power from the key, thru the neutral safety switch in the control box to the slave, then to main solenoiod on starter.
