Sea Ray would like to extend a special invitation to any interested CSR member to attend an in-water boat show Saturday, September 14, featuring new 2014 model year boats. The show will take place at our dealer meeting location -- Lake Lanier Islands Resort -- just outside of Atlanta. It's a casual chance to review the latest and greatest 2014 Sea Ray models and meet representatives from across the Sea Ray organization. The event will be family-friendly and lunch and drinks will be served from 12-2 p.m. There are a limited number of rooms at the resort still available Saturday evening for guests who would like to stay over. While it's not quite the full-on Homecoming event that was so successful last year, it will be a great chance for functional leaders across Sea Ray to continue their engagement with our current and prospective owners. We hope to return to a Homecoming-style event in Knoxville in 2014.

Attendance at the in-water boat show is free but registration prior to the event is required by September 6.

We'd love to see you there.

(Please note that the 350 SLX and the 510 FLY will not be available at this event -- if you're actively in the market for either of these boats, please see your local Sea Ray dealer for schedule of VIP events)

THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE HEADS UP...
just too short notice for Kathy and I .

I'm going to be in San Francisco for the America's Cup so I won't be able to attend this year. The 2012 homecoming event was awesome.

Anything happening soon in Seattle?
Todd,

The Boats Afloat show is coming up in early September where LUSR is going to have a cool/unique 510 FLY display (the actual boat won't be there). Other than that, the Sea Ray Rendezvous was the big Sea Ray event for the summer. I was out in Seattle and Vancouver a month ago -- I'm sorry that I didn't set something up. I think I'll suggest that when Sea Ray execs travel they try and set up coffee meet 'n' greets to see the local Sea Ray family. -- Matt

Matt -- this is a great idea. I think it would be great if the execs did informal meet up's when they travel. Great way for us to put faces to names and for them to meet the family.

Hmmm... I have to be at an industry event in Washington, DC until Friday afternoon on the 13th. But, Southwest has some non-stops to Atlanta. This might be doable.

Hey Matt. Will there be a chance to board the 210 or 230 SLX, or the new jet boats? I'm ready to go a bit bigger than my 190, and there's no dealer in Northern California that stocks those boats.

NorCalGlenn -- Thanks for your interest! The following sport boats and sport cruisers are scheduled to be there. I'm still working on logistics related to the larger boats.

Sign me up. Should be there. Thanks for the invite.

Matthew -- it's an alternate designation for Sundancer. As best I understand, we occasionally use three-character modifiers (instead of two characters) when we bring a new model to market where the model number already existed. In a given model year, you might have a 350 DA and a 350 SDA, and our systems need the distinction. That doesn't fully explain why these showed up this way in this spreadsheet, but it's the general rationale for three character descriptors.

Thanks for the invite! We would love to come but our schedule is full. Looking forward to 2014 in Knoxville. Love the area, Mike.

So is there any difference in the actual boats or layout/features?

Matt, I think I read once before that the 3 digit designation would be used, in house only, when there were slight changes mid year. Example - The 20xx 340 started out without (insert feature here say bow pulpit). Mid production that changed and all 340s after that had the feature and were branded with the SDA.

as I finished typing I said I hope he wasn't asking about the specific boats that will be in Atlanta.
