I am toying around with the idea of getting a new boat. Anyone have any idea what discount I should expect comparing a new 2018 vs a new 2019?

Seems most manufacturers are using 3-5% for adjustment in the manufacturing arena, so likely that range.

If there is any rebate money in the picture, then is will be a national program and advertised. That means this will be a negotiating exercise between you and your dealer.

You are in Marine Max territory and they have a bunch of inventory they are paying interest on, so my guess is they will be interested in any reasonable offer on a new 2018 or 2019. You have experience in how they handle customer problems and how well they work with warranty companies, so you might want to have that discussion with the sales manager before you sign on the dotted line.

FYI, Marine max operates on a Fiscal year which ends in September. They will absolutely want to get rid of as much inventory by the end of September as possible - they don't want to carry on their books through to the next year if possible.

This was how I got a great deal on my 270 AJ. It was ordered for their inventory and they wanted it GONE. I bought it in August and was given incentives to take delivery before September. During the closing I was told specifically specifically by the MM finance guy that a large part of the discount was to clean up their inventory for the close of their books. My total discount ended up being 35%+ from the list price.
