Presidential Candidates

Thrilled! Especially for what is happening to the portfolio.
For years the Democrats have been telling the middle class "Were in this for you - we have your back!" And the they proceed to piss MY money away on such wonderful things as tyranny toilets and more and more welfare and 'undocumented immigrants' - enough.

I hope the dems got the message - if you want to win elections, cut this nonsense out.

He is mentally imbalanced. Not my opinion. This is based on the analysis of medical doctors, and some in his own party are starting to question his tmperment.

And as a final thought for ya all, There is no Supreme Court between him, and the nuclear codes that travel with him.

Hang in there Bill! Only 4 more years. (maybe....)

It is interesting to watch him singlehandedly relegate the media to a position of inconsequence and watch the media struggling to discern their role in a new world they find themselves in....

8 more if the political establishment, media, and loons on both sides keep it up. I know several ambivalent Trump voters that have turned in to staunch supporters of the President after witnessing the antics that have been going on since Inauguration Day last month.
Both sides think that anyone that is not with them is with the other side. What they both fail to realize is that the vast majority of the country falls somewhere in the middle and is sick and tired of the extreme partisanship that has crippled the nation for years. That's why Trump won and why he will win again in 2020.
There is no better argument for term limits in congress than what has been going on lately. No wonder this country was on the wrong path.

Hmmmm, let's see if he's doing a good job. He has called together the leaders of industry to advise him on how to increase jobs. He's filling his cabinet positions with people who have experience, not just political cronies. People on Wall Street who are a helluva lot smarter than I am seem to be pretty happy with what's going on. Consumer confidence is up. The media is still trying to sort out what they can throw at Trump so they can maintain (in their own minds) how important they are. The snowflakes in the country are still crying and probably will never admit that Trump is doing a decent job in his first month in office.

Yeah, I'm happy he got elected.

Betsy DeVos!?!?

Not only does she not have experience, she doesn't even have basic understanding of the basics! She couldn't comprehend the questions she was being asked. She's serving her own short-sighted interests and her appointment is an embarrassment to the entire country. (but not as embarrassing as Rick Perry and his appointment of, um, what was that department again?)

Come on now - hasn't anyone noticed that California has gotten all the water they need since Pres. Trump was elected?

She's a strong advocate for charter schools. The education mess in this country rivals the political disaster. Time to shake things up.

I hate to be a jerk but shouldn't political threads be in the Club Level forum? I had to quit Facebook because of this crap and I regret that I participated in this thread... CSR was my only online respite from political BS.

I suggest that anyone who wants to debate politics should coordinate a conference call and it should be done in person, not here.

Not being a jerk and you are correct. Should be moved to "holding tank"

Or just don't click on it. It is still February.

This thread is approaching a year old, you participated freely....now you don't want to anymore and say you regret participating. It would be a bit stupid to keep viewing and participating in something you call 'crap' and 'bull****'. So OK, delete your posts and we'll pretend you were never here. Once you've done that, control yourself....don't click on 'Presidential Candidates' again....see if you can keep yourself from peeking.

Tonka, CSR has long been a virtual dock for boaters to discuss anything just as they would on a real dock. As long as discussions are civil, threads like this shouldn't need to be in the holding tank as this affects everyone of us. These threads can easily be avoided by anyone that doesn't care to discuss the issues of the day.

Regardless of who you voted for, I think it's disgusting that the media takes every opportunity to skewer the President of the free world. It's fair game to report on his doings and even question his policies but there is a concerted effort to derail his presidency. Why?

The issues are larger than just the United States and the problems with the world right now have nothing to do with Trump. He did not create the chaos that we're witnessing. The world would still be in turmoil even if the election results were different. The problems we're facing are due to years of failed foreign and domestic policies, plain and simple.

Half of this great country voted for change because they didn't like the direction we were headed. Don't read this as me spewing pro-Trump... we're all Americans in this country and for sake our own future we need to support the Office of the President of the greatest country in the world. We're not a nation that is divided, we're a nation filled with hatred and too many people who think it's best to simply shut down a constructive conversation if they don't agree with your position. That is wrong. We will get nowhere if we don't maintain a constructive dialog.

Protesting and shutting down the conversation won't work. DO SOMETHING constructive -- don't just complain and post crap on Facebook.

Love this post!

Ha..Got me there, but since I moved from Jersey I now get to go boating in Feb. Anyway, just trying to adhere to Jim's rules for the Tiki Bar of "no political posts" I actually like these conversations and would rather see the posts moved, rather than deleted like so many threads before.

Last week California was rattling its saber about seceding from the union. This week, they want federal funds and help with their dam problem at Oroville.

I'm just quoting the Tiki Bar's forum description:

"Shoot the bull with fellow CSR members, non boating discussion. No political posts!"
