Presidential Candidates

I'm not going to say that Trump is the "best thing since sliced bread", but we've had 8 years of progressive homeland policies, weak foreign policy, open boarders, and willingness to give away the farm to illegal immigrants. This keeps up, and we will not have a country left that I would want to live in. That said some real change is needed, and I hope if Trump wins, that we can get back to some responsible polices, and financial reality.

CSR needs a "LIKE BUTTON"!!! And I hate the word "politics"! Why can't we have qualified candidates show up and run for office? This country is loaded with talent, I can't believe what's in front of us right now... Smh

What exactly is a qualified candidate?

Someone who totally understands the inner workings of government? A candidate with many friends throughout the political arena? A long time politician?

Personally, I think that's exactly what's wrong with government today. Our founding fathers knew it would be these career politicians who would eventually lead to the demise of our government. Power corrupts and always will. They tried to build a system to prevent such abuse but over time term limits were raised, time in office extended and the lobby system we now know was born.

Until we do away with these career politicians and get back to government "by the people" it's never going to change. With each new candidate, we've been repeating the same process over and over and expecting different results.

As several have already pointed out...The Donald isn't the best candidate for president but he's not a career politician either which is real change IMHO.

Justin Trudeau for president! I'm fairly certain a number of Canadians would contribute to the air fare to get rid of him.

I'll just go ahead an add 107' myself for Trump (#NEVER HILLARY)....DO they all have to be operational? DO the Swim Platforms count as footage, or do I have to go off the bow to transom measurements? There's some gray area with these flat transom boats, I know!

BiewByYou88

Ypu count the swim platform in total footage if it is part of the mold of the boat. If it's "attached by bolts or other means" then count how to transom.

Boater420, I knew your post was coming, so let me clarify.

A person who isn't trigger happy with our Military, one who will end corruption or set in motion the tools to do it, end the deficit and over spending of the budget, put forth a fixed tax code, abolish the IRS, and put limits on all terms thereby ending career politicians, put limits on welfare and freebie benefits, and bring the jobs back to America, and become the leader in renewable energy for a start. You know, sensible things...

THAT PERSON

Qualified to me means a well rounded person who can get the job done.

not what we have now, where we have to choose between two evils. Hillary, no way. Trump, is he really Presidential? LoL I like Trump way better than Hillary since I have to "choose" between the two. But Trump scares me on foreign policy and our Military. Just sayin

For the record, I don't need a President to improve my life, I need one who won't screw it up! Unfortunately, there are more people that do vote who need/think a President will improve their lives...

I believe in assisting people, not providing...

We just elected this clown and we already want to get rid of him. When will the electorate start to shoulder some of the blame? Too bad there wasn't a system in place to qualify whether the voters truly understand what they are doing before they scribble in their big X for the flavour of the month. There I go day dreaming again ... the political machine has proven to be unstoppable once set in motion by the masses. It seems that some things will never change.

So, the choices are:
Hillary-The Crook
Bernie-The Socialist
Trump-The Lunatic

I'd pick the lesser of 3 evils. Bernie. Too bad he can't get elected.

+1

I'm of the belief that if both houses of congress were in session on 9/11 and a plane ran into the Capitol, there would be a statue honoring Osama Bin Laden in DC today.

Lot of validity to that. Bernie is the only one who actually believes what he says. It's a crazy truth, but it's the truth as he sees what is right for the nation.

Add to that, if Bernie was elected, Congress would be forced to work together just to make sure there even was a congress in 4 years. PLUS, the SCOTUS would actually have to look at the constitution and quit legislating from the bench.

May just be more positives than negatives...........Right up until that 90% tax rate kicked in and all us God fearing gun toting crazies went absolutely bat sh!t and the occasional revolution TJ spoke so fondly of kicked into high gear.

I have never seen a first world country election where a large portion of the populous from both parties is specifically focused on stopping a leading candidate. Its a clear indication that something is needed to fix the counterproductive widening division that has emerged in the United States. If you determine that Trump is the best leader to bridge the divide and bring the country together again, then you have made the right choice.

Your founding fathers have given some speeches to articulate their vision for America that inspired the world and will stand for thousands of years. If Donald is the one, he better hire a good speech writer.

I hate to say this but it doesn't seem to matter how the voter feels. How many of us could even afford to attend one of the dinners? Do you really think they give a damn how the general public feels or the things that effect us? Any of them would SELL you water as you sat in the middle of the fresh mountain stream.

Hillery and her husband bought a house in Mass a couple of years back 2.5 million, they rented the garage out back to the Secret Service for his protection. Wanna guess how much it cost the taxpayers per year? That comes from the a Mass State Trooper.

Now correct me if im wrong. It seems to me as if the Republican Party represents the top 3%, the Dems the 47%. So who represents the working class?

Im off my soap box now

I will never vote for Hillary Clinton...period.

19 trillion in debt......time for some hard choices to be made and some pain for all to get things headed back in the right direction.

A survey was taken not long ago and something like 60% of americans wanted socialism over domocracy. I think they polled the colleges where all the smart kids are,,,
They believe when Bernie and Hilary promise its "free" they wont have to pay for anything.
Guess what? We will pay!!!

Good point.
As I often say......"When was the last time you were allowed to vote, on any single issue, that directly affected you?"
....(What movie do y'all wanna watch? Doesn't count)

I don't disagree, but the election/campaigning process in the USA is just absolutely bat[doo-doo] crazy compared to other first world countries.

The U.K. has a $30MM cap on campaign spending, meanwhile candidates on both sides of the aisle over here blow through $1BB a piece. It's really quite embarrassing.

Mexico campaigns for 147 days (compared to our 596), and Japan does it in less than two weeks.

I have to say, as much as I don't agree with many of his proposals, as a person Bernie Sanders has my utmost respect because I genuinely believe he wants the Presidency to help people (following his views, of course, like them or not). Trump and Clinton want the power/prestige; I don't believe either of them care about the well-being of the 300 million of us.
