Has anyone replaced the rubber gasket for their windshield power vent? Mine is leaking which I would like to fix but when I went to order one from our parts department they told me is was around 150 dollars! 150 bucks for a piece of square rubber gasket which is probably no more than 12x12 square! Come on man!

Hey Bill,

Never had to replace that gasket, but my parts dept. told me it would be $9.50 p/ft for the screw cover gasket that goes around the bottom of the windshield (needed 28')...........yikes! Had a vendor we deal with make them for $60. You could probably remove the gasket and take it to them as a sample.

They are in Glen Burnie.........your company may have an account with them.

I actually ripped the corner of mine when I R & R'd the windshield to powdercoat it. Now mine leaks too. I was going to call Taylormade to see if they have it since I got the screw cover gasket from them.

Taylor told me I had to get the screw cover from the dealer.

Yikes Todd, R & R the windshield to powder coat it sounds very involved. Since mine is not SS, this sounds interesting............can you comment on the procedure.

Sorry for the hijack Billy Boy.
