My brother bought a place in Arizona. The previous owner kept a pot belly pig in the house.
Guess they were, or are fairly common as pets. Were just having fun. having a pet pig is just different for most of us.
Good thing you dont have a monkey as a pet. them things chew the limbs off there owners when they get moody.

I read that the water skiing elephant died yesterday, gave me an idea for transporting the pig.Just buy a dingy to tow behind you!Or mabey the elephants skis are for sale cheap on ebay.

Pretty sad we have to "FIGHT" over such a thing as a family pet.... One that is innocent and brings so much joy. Still hard for me to grasp how others see Ko-Jac as such a threat to their way of life and thinking. I will stand strong for my family and our values, and if I get knocked down so be it, I will get back up. But to keep doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is insane...

It's true my parents didn't go to college and there are no trust funds in my name...

Really?! Hard to believe anyone can exist without that. How do you hold your head up?

Our Military Service was put down, our boat was put down, our values were put down. Threats were made.

Can you provide a link and show that? I'm calling BS on this one.

No threats were made. That's crap. Here's the thing. Apparently you didn't read my last reply to this. This is just a very odd combination. Nobody in the PacNW that I've ever seen have pigs on boats. Around here they are called food and bait...pet or not.

Actually in this thread you are correct in saying no threats where made, in the previous threats there were threats made. Because it isnt in your world, it isnt so? I just did a Google search for Pot Belly Pig owners in your part of the country, there are Pet Pot Belly Pigs and owners listed. True they may not boat with them, but the boating community is small in comparison to the general population. I am pretty sure there are laws protecting Pot Belly Pigs that are domesticate and bred as Pets from being slaughter for human consumption. To make sure I will check with a few organizations.

I remember Green Acres - and Arnold. This is so unusual they used it as part of a plot for a weekly comedy series.

Looks like this thread has run it's course. Can we put a fork in it and close it?

I guess you're missing my point. What I'm trying to say is that you and the Capt are requesting info on something that is foreign to all of us. No one's advocating you don't have a pig, or to quit boating with your pig. The reality is that most of us seem to find the mix of the two just odd. That doesn't mean you have to stop, it's just odd.

Maybe yeah.

Wait a minute. I have traveled all over the world and I have eaten horse, monkey, hate to admit it, dog. I eat what I hunt, moose, caribou, bear, birds, cows every fall and pigs as they are what feeds my family.

Hate to say this but Lacook, I think it is time to say good bye. Most American eat ham, beef, chickens, turkey, fish and other animals.

Unfortunately you have driven your self to this point. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and ideas, but at this point you have gone off the deep end in my opinion.

I think I hear the banjos from Deliverance playing in the background.

Where did I say I am NOT a meat eater? Or that I am agasint eating pork? Those are not my words. What I said was is we dont eat our pets. How is that so over the top? We are not talking a farm bred fed raised pig here that is intended for slaughter. We are talking a pot belly pig raised as a pet. How is this so difficult to understand? How can you all be so brilliant about so many issues and so thick about something as simple as a pets?

For the record I total agree with hunting for food, got no problems there. I have no problems with raising chickens ducks cows pigs sheep for food. None of these are issues with me. It still amazes me that so many of you think you know me well enough or even remotely enough to suggestion your views on what I think and feel about life in general. Wow, because I have a pet pig who goes on our boat and I believe in speaking out in what my views are, now I am off the deep end. Well, it isnt lonely in this deep end, and I am sure not going to get a nose bleed from being so high on myself that is for-sure.
