Come Friday, I will be off this board for good. Once the deal is settle and squared I have NO REASON to be here what so ever. BULLYING is just that..... I personally believe it is wrong to BULLY. Yet the Moderators of this website condone it and even join in.. The worse part is, the ones being bullied get warnings and "DEMERITS" for defending and standing up and speaking their minds. So So So sad.

I believe you are wrong. You will be missed as we do like hearing about your adventures with KJ. But if you can not take a little ribbing, and are too sensitive then may be it is best to say good bye.

Anyone having a food animal for a pet is going to take a ribbing. No different than if I had a chicken, a rabbit, or a pig for a pet. It's not common so folks joke about it. I know that your belief system puts animals on the same level as humans so it does hurt you to hear the jokes. I hate that you would leave the site but if it cause that much pain then maybe it's better for you. In our culture food animals are just that. I was raised on the farm and we were always told to not name or make any animals our pets cause they may end up on the table.
In other cultures dog and cats are food sources. If you were a dog owner in those culture you would get the same treatment.
What do you call a -------- walking a dog? A vegetarian
What do you call a -------- walking 3 dogs? A rancher

I grew up with my best friend's family who lived on a farm, and we had the same thing told to us. We(the kids) broke that rule with a red bull we raised from a calf, and it was very difficult when we butchered him a couple years later. Chickens, ducks, pigs and cows were all food product.

Well i agree with old skool,i have enjoyed giving info and reading the banter of pigdom.Over the weekend i saw a sign in Kawkawlin mi .in front of a pawn shop that read"PIG IN PAWN",perhaps they could babysit for you,just dont be late picking up kj.

You are THE ONLY ONE with a 150 lb PIG! I don't know anyone in this world that has a PIG in their house - and on their boat. But to quote Jerry Seinfeld..."not that there's anything wrong with that". So although you are the ONLY PEOPLE I've ever heard of with a 150 lb PIG as a pet, I bet you'd get a laugh out of the lady who brought the miniature horse - with tennis shoes - onto my airplane - and expected it to sit next to the "regular" passengers.
Have you considered getting one of these miniature horses? What a great boat companion for KoJacK...

Somebody needs to use the internet and do some research, because you couldn't be more wrong. Actually I know of 4 other people on this board who now have or who have had a pot belly pig. Also the pot belly pig is a not so uncommon pet. Some people just need to get outside of their only little small box..

So tell me Good Ole Boys, When does NO stop meaning NO? When does STOP no longer mean STOP. When over the last 8 months or so, when Rick and I have repeatably said, your remarks are hurtful and insulting and non productive to the reason we asked for help in the first place become the norm and acceptable? I was raised by simple folks in rural MN, and I was taught no means no, stop means stop. And that people who don't respect that or don't respect you are nothing but bullies, and are cursed with ignorance. It's true my parents didn't go to college and there are no trust funds in my name, but none the less the gifts of values morals and the ability to be open minded and to think outside of the box are precious gifts.

Were was it ever said by either Rick or I that our domestic pot belly pig was bred and raised with the intention of him being consumed by humans? Ko-Jac is not a farm raised animal meant for live stock purpose, nor where his parents, or his grandparent and so on. He was bred to be a pet. Even old time farmers in MN dont eat pets!

What is your definition of LITTLE? Because there has been anything but LITTLE on the matter of Our Pet Pig! I see this thread getting out of hand quicker and faster then the last one. That was so outrageous I couldn't believe it took as long as it did for someone to FINALLY stop it. Our Military Service was put down, our boat was put down, our values were put down. Threats were made. Rick and I stood up for what we believed in for as long as we could, before I finally said enough I cant put a square peg in a round hole with this bunch. When Rick told me he re-posted help for suggestions or ideas for a way to load KJ from the beach to the boat on this site, well lets just say I was anything but happy about it. Yet, that magical thing called KARMA was right there for us and a CSR member had a solution for us. Which we , which I am so ever grateful for. Full Circle Baby...... Like I have always said there is a reason for everything and everything happens for a reason. Of course I had to eat a little humble and humilaty pie and apologise and thank my husband for taking one more "RISK" with the posting. All worth it.
