Portable Toilet

I did not countersink them. Is there a way to remedy that, or should I leave it alone?

It's up to you. It may never pose a problem (only cosmetic, if it does). It's pretty simple, though. Just remove the screws and then use a counter sink bit (or a larger drill bit where the diameter is larger than the screw threads). I usually do this step by hand, just to ensure that the bit doesn't all of a sudden bite in... otherwise you end up with a big hole.

All you're after here is to remove enough gelcoat so that when the screw goes in, the threads do not come in contact with the gel. The threads should only touch the fiberglass.

I will tackle that the next time I go to the boat for some work next week.

Thanks!

I installed the porta potty on my 230BR a few weeks back and just wanted to post a few pics.

My wife and 2 little girls LOVE it. My 5 year old thinks it's the coolest thing and HAS to use it the second she gets on board.

It was worth all the research to find the right one that fit and wasn't as hard to install as I thought. The though of drilling a few holes in my boat was worse than the actual drilling itself.

Thanks for all the comments and advice!

thirtydaZe...

Thank you.

I'm surprised you don't have a space like that on a newer 230. That would be the same size as mine and about 7 years newer.

Hi all - new to the site as I just upgraded from a Glastron 195 to an '04 Sundeck 200. Unfortunately my boat is missing the cooler and porta potti and I'd like to add these - the cooler for me and the porta potti for my kids.

My boat has both a cooler rack and what appear to be floor mounts for the porta potti already installed. What model did you use Banagy? Does anyone know which models Sea Ray originally installed (both porta potti and cooler)? Any help would be much appreciated.
