Moved to a new marina this year and already have issues boarding the boat at certain tides. Best I can tell so far is that I need a two step option. That said, it would also be great to be able to take them with us when we go cruising to other marinas as often this problem exists away from home port as well. Simple Google searching does turn up anything overly creative. there're too flimsy to feel safe or too big and bulk to carry on-board. Has anyone found any good product out there and/or share your experiences with his? :smt100

Todd Marine makes some lightweight, but sturdy steps. I wouldn't call them "rock solid", but they are nice - the base is nice and big. We've used them in the showroom for decades. They are not collapsible, though.

After a hurricane about 15 years ago, I was bequeathed a set of Todd boarding steps. Nobody claimed them, so I've kept t hem on the dock ever since to board the side deck from the dock. They have been bullet proof, very sturdy, and won't slide around, but a 2-step version may be a little heavy. You might take a look at Todd Products steps and see if they could work for you.

Thanks Frank. Saw those on the web. Hard to tell from pictures how heavy or cumbersome they might be but they looked better than most I saw. These things are too expensive to do too much trial and error researching.
