I know someone who used one quite successfully in a small cruiser, dockside. The biggest issue is routing the exhaust hose to outside.

I'm referring to the AC unit, not the honda gen.

I used one in a cottage for a while, worked ok but you have to empty the condensation drawer alot and it spills all over when sliding it out. I imagine a wake would take care of that tho

I bought one of those from Taiwan John to heat my sons basement bedroom in the summer ( my basement gets so cold when the a/c is on) where the warm air comes out is ducted into his bedroom. Where the cold air comes out is ducted into my cold air return duct. It works great.

My slip neighbor has a classic aft cabin Chriscraft about 38 or maybe 40 ft. When his AC died he installed one of those standing units and vented it out a side window. He said he has the space and it works for him without putting a lot of $ into the boat. The boat is in pretty good shape for its age, but he is at the stage that you don't sink a lot into it.

Used one of the larger models for years in the house until we got central a/c when had to replace the furnace.

As long as you've got a convenient window to vent to, they work great.
