I have a '99 310 with v-drives and twin 5.7 with carbs.
The volt meter on the port engine reads low. It shows 12-12.5, yet when you check the volts coming off the alternator itself, it shows 14.5 and the engines always start.
This side is for the starting battery. I replaced the gauge this spring and I know they are not too accurate. I also replaced the battery this spring.
Could the connectors be corroded? Bad wiring harness?
