I have a 2001 480 Sedan Bridge with Caterpillar 3196 and twin disc transmission. I purchased 4 months ago. Everything went ok on the sea trial. A few weeks ago I was practicing docking in my new slip and I noticed that after docking 4 or 5 times my port side transmission won't engage in reverse. The oil pressure is ok, the temperature is ok. I already change the 3 microswitches and the reverse solenoid. If I wait for an hour or get back the next day, everything is back to normal. The transmission works fine. Yesterday I was coming from a 25 minutes drive back to port and it fails again. Anybody could help me.
Thanks

I had a similar problem earlier this summer. Lost starboard transmission. Cause was found to be a leak in the transmission oil cooler.

Check to ensure the shifter at the trany is engaging 100% to spec. Off slightly the clutches wont grip properly. Start simple then go to fluid pressure.
