Poll: Boating in the nude

I'll go with #7, 8 and 10. Mostly #7. Wish I could be there, only for the fishing of course. I wouldn't take the grand kids. Maybe not the wife either.

Just kidding! not really! I don't know.

Nudity is much more accepted in Europe - children and all: I was stationed three years in Germany and three in Italy in the Army. I'll have to vote: live and let live. If a boater is anchored in full glory that cool with me. If my crew doesn't like it, we should wave a polite goodby and move along. Personnaly, I wish there was a place like that on Guntersville: I would visit often ...but the local congregation would have a come apart.
 
Actually, there is more than meets the eye w/ these nude boaters I speak of. We've come to the conclusion that it is an enclave of "The Lifestyle". So, to the degree that is apparent, it is all the more inappropriate for "young viewers" (or listeners, for that matter). Still, I agree "to each his own". Still interested, Bama?
 
I took my shorty wetsuit out on Sunday in case I needed a swim but never got in. We anchored down by lock 14, not up in the sand pit with the swingers. And, indeed, we speculated about whether they were all nude in the cabins of their boats or what. Maybe they all have campers that they "raft" in the off season.

Stray Cat, ain't we havin' the best fall weather of the summer?

Well, the "Lifestyle" does not interest me as much as the warm sun on a nice boat. :grin:

Me too, then a couple of drinks later, I'm looking for some bare Azz. I've mastered a new drink. We call it, "Wallah! Boobs."

2/3 can of large Bacardi Pina Colada mix
1/2 can of rum
2 glugs of triple sec
Blend with ice to correct consistency
Pour into insulated (stylish) plastic boating cups
Add heavy splash of rum on top of girls' drinks (not really a man's drink anyway)
Put top on, add straw, and serve to attractive ladies

Key - First few sips taste really sweet, but as Rum slowly seeps in, no change in flavor

Fair game - Tell girls that you are putting a shot on top, unless they don't want one

Recently, a visiting young lady chose to not have an exta shot. I didn't put any extra on. After about 3 drinks, she thanked me for not putting too much in as we were looking around for her top.

Bama boater and this Bama agree. Just keep on moving if you don't like it. Just be sure she is hot, take a quick look, and wish that you and your girl were naked instead of clothed and boring. If the temp is over 80 at least. Cold temps do not work.....in showers or on the water!!!

We skinny dip all the time on Lake Lanier. Never around people who might be offended and definitely not around children. Who wants to wear a wet swimsuit all day? I agree with the comments about Americans being way to uptight about nudity. The first cruise I ever took was on the SS Norway from Le Havre, France to Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The ship was packed with Europeans and the first day it was nice enough to lay by the pool I was stunned to see people changing into their swimsuits out in the open. If that happened in America they would put you on a sex offender registry.

I was in Austin a few years back for a client conference Halloween weeekned, and the vendor's rep showed me the town, including boating on Lake Travis, but we missed that!

Now I know what to ask for next time! :grin:

As far as my vote: #1, if the location is well-known/advertised as 'clothing optional', otherwise #2.
 
GW and I often anchor in an out of the way place off the Columbia, and there are seldom other boats close by. We both skinny dip once in awhile; I do more often than she does. There is sometimes another boat that anchors about 100 yards away and they are nude all day. We see them going in and out of the water, and they see us doing the same thing. Both couples are middle aged or older so there aren't any hot bodies to ogle.
