I think my ‘97 330DA needs new bottom paint. What is the best for south puget sound? Moored year-round in a boathouse in Budd Inlet.

Thanks!!

Dabble, I think the best paint for the PNW is one that has a high copper content but I also think our Great State of WA banned copper bottom paints a few years ago. I might be wrong on that so check further on that.

If you want high copper bottom paint jump in the car and head south until you cross the Columbia and you'll be in the Great State of OR where you can still buy it.

I just did my bottom paint in April 2020 with PPG Amercoat 214 with the highest amount of copper allowed. My buddy is a commercial painter so I get it @ 50% off $100/gallon. https://www.ppgpmc.com/products/Amercoat-214 I went 4 years on my last coat and probably could have gotten another year, but I was hauling the boat for cutlass bearings, shafts & couplers and props so I went ahead with the bottom paint.

Yeah I caught that in post 6. As for the drama and being nothing but boats? I have been watching the youtube series or vlog with the S/V Delos. It's almost like reading the bible. Drama, comedy, romance and horror, all in one. Almost makes me glad I have motors and not sheets.
