Guys there have been several posting lately where people are posting huge pictures. Please watch this and if you post one and it is larger than it should be please delete it, shrink it, and reattach it. It is really a pain to have such big attachments posted.

Hey Wesley to help some of us with short term memory problems what is considered too big again.

When you click on properties it should be less than 600 wide...if 640 it is ok but any thing much more than that is too wide. Alex I hope you know I was not talking about you individually there are several out there including a couple of signatures that are too wide. It is not only because of bandwith but also a pain to have to use the left to right scroll bar because the pictures are too big. Thanks for everyones help in this matter!!!

Hey thanks Wesley, I could not remember the size limit, ...... now what was it we were talking about, Oh ye that short term memory thing  :smt043

I just posted a bunch of photos in the 'dragging brakes' posts. A few may be over 640, but I don't see any scrolling. If you guys do see a problem however, don't hesitate to shoot me an e-mail or otherwise let me know.

Mine were also posted as links, and saved with fairly high jpeg compression for quicker loading.

Yeah, yeah guys ... I know I am the big pic culprit ... :smt018

At least I get the "big picture"

I should get some "pixel credit" for very seldomly posting my signature though

 Can somebody help me here? I finally found a program that will resize my jpeg files but it will only save them as a .psf file which is I am guessing arcsoft proprietary and what came with my canon digital camera. I've read other posts referring to the resize tool from ms but even it would not resize these jpeg images. My problem is when trying to post I get a site error indicating the file format is not supported. Is it possible to allow .psf images, or is there an easier way for me to resize and save as a jpeg. BTW love the site, sorry I've only just now found it...Dan

There are several ways to resize your photos. Lately I have been using Photobucket.com. It allows you to resize when you download them to their site. And you can hot-link from their site as well if you want to post pictures on CSR or any other place.

There is also an on line program you can use if you don't want to use photobucket........go here http://online-image-resize.kategorie.cz/

Thanks for the photobucket suggestion it seems to have worked fine but still would not make the file small enough for an avatar so far, I'll try again later. Time to actually use the boat...
