Guys there have been a couple of topics lately that have gotten off subject and into a whole new subject by the time that they were done. While it is understandable that this happens (even Richard and I are guilty of doing it) we need to do our best to make sure that this does not happen. If you are reading a topic and you have a question that is going to go in another direction just start a new topic. Why is this so important; it is the only way to have a useable search feature. If topics always end up off topic than the search feature is basically useless. Again try and work with us on this.

Didn't Richard have a post like this some time ago and every body jumped on board with a new topic. Something about hijacking his topic about not hijacking topics. Tried to search for it but could not find it. Must have gotten off topic. Now what was the topic of this thread. :lol: :smt043 :lol:
 
That was on the old SRO board.....and there were so many comedians on that thread I think Comedy Central had to cancel it's weekend broadcast because no one came to work. :smt101
 
Actually, Jeremy started it with a "Stay on Topic" post so serous that it was almost pompous. I think there were like 4 days of posts from about 500 people, none of them on the topic, and many so obscure that you thought they came from the X-Files.....they were so funny, I still smile when I remember it.
 
Frank is right and I think that one of the illustrious moderators at the time was the first to go off topic on the off topic thread. It became the daily laugh for a while. :grin:

Frank you are so right!! I was browsing on the old SRO.com one night, came across that Stay on Topic posting and it was pretty old with lots of posts. I read it all at one sitting and I don't think I have laughed so hard about the written word in a long time. It still makes me smile to think about it -- we have (had) some very witty/funny/outrageous folks on the board and it all came together on that post!!
