Symptoms: need to pace, sweaty palms, spending hours every day logged into CSR. Overwhelming compulsion to wax, marathon watching boating videos on YouTube. Anxiety, depression and cravings for Captain Morgan, cold beer, Jimmy Buffett and Kenny Chesney music. I’m wearing cargo shorts, Tommy Bahama shirt, sunglasses and flip flops sitting in front of the fireplace.

I have very similar symptoms... watching!

Easily addressed by spending a week in a either location. West Michigan winters can be brutal on flip flops.

Yes it’sExhausting And completely consuming I think I need meds

We had the same problem. The short term solution was to spend two weekends in a dark, cool storage warehouse waxing the boat and changing the anodes. That helped, but only momentarily. Last weekend we went down to Ft. Lauderdale for the weekend, with a drive down the keys for lunch. I think that treatment will last 3-4 weeks until the boat is in the water.

Seriously - 2-3 days in warmth and sunshine is really good for the soul. It doesn't have to be a long stay. This has been a really long winter in the midwest, and if you can swing it, even a short break is really nice.

Then I can safely assume it is a highly contagious condition limited to only boat owners....

I don't know about that. I left Jan. 26th and returned Feb. 11th and by the 16th I was ready to leave again.:D:D:D
Following this thread because I have the same symptoms.

It hasn't spread this far North. Once the snowmobile trails close April 1st, I'm afraid I will catch this dreaded disease though...

Got up to 16 once again this morning. This has got to stop!!! I need to wax my boat !!!!

Flying to Sarasota saturday....if the flights dont cancel due to upto 12” of snow?!

Had the same symptoms only thing that seem to help was the Miami boat show, and visiting friends in Sarasota,Venice and looking at marinas in Florida.
Came home to Snow after snow... feeling a little better now..
