So yesterday I was spring buffing the hull and the buffing wheel grabbed one of the clamshell plastic vents on the hull side and ripped it off, breaking the plastic blocks that are glued to the clamshell (and what the plastic trees push into to hold the clamshell on.)
I decided to research a bit rather than just using epoxy to glue the blocks back together and onto the clamshell, since I wasn’t sure epoxy would bond to the plastic. I found some info on Permatex Plastic Weld two part glue. Gave it a try and it really seems like a great glue for things like this. Supposedly stays slightly flexible and not brittle like epoxy. Anybody got any experience with this stuff?
