Hello All,
Ex-pat Brit getting a bit fed up with Mid-West winters here.
We have a home in Venice which we get to 6-7 times a year but we're planning on moving there full time in the next three years.
Sometime between now and then i'd like to pick up a used boat to have fun with in the Venice/Sarasota area.
We're not completely decided on make or model yet but it will be a deck boat - The Sea-Ray 270 Sundeck is standing out to me at the moment although for no better reason than we like to styling and size.
We're not looking to buy new so we'll look at the used market, do our due diligence and involve a qualified marine surveyor.
We'll be using it to play in the Gulf, trips to Sarasota, sandbars, and some lazy intra coastal boating.
If any of you have any experience of the 270 in that area please let me know your thoughts on the Sundeck, the best places to visit in the area or any other models we should also take a look at.
