Pivot Davit Reviews

Not hijacking but am interested in finding out same thing. I just picked up a walker bay 8 foot odyssey my 290 has the triangle style bracket already on it but nothing on the dinghy. I am interested in hearing results or ideas

I made some of my own at one time using cpvc conduit and aluminum angles - they worked great and loading was fairly easy.
I was just not happy with having all of it hanging off the platform when the boat was not loaded.
Switched to the weaver's.

I was thinking of pinning the pivot point so that I could remove the cradle from the boat when not needed.

It's an idea.
The down-side is the mounting feature is only one ear mating up to an angle. It may not want to perpendicular to the swim platform.
Too bad they are not using a channel with the pivot point through the tube like most ladders. :smt017

I was planning on fabricating my own so I can fix that problem. I was more concerned with the general idea of a pivoting cradle design.

Great - you can surely fab them for much less than purchasing.
Like I mentioned, I thought the pivoting cradle design worked great .
