Guys - trying to plan, my charts are on the boat and a Google search did not get me answers.

Can anyone tell me if for a 4ft draft whether Pitt Lake is navigable from the delta, if so which arm of Fraser is a better trip and are there any tidal restrictions. I know it is very marshy at Siwash island as I canoed there many years ago but have no recollection of whether are are channels that will allow the 320 to get through to deep water.

Not sure if this helps but my friend had a 40' sailboat moored at the marina on the Pitt River just south of the Lougheed overpass (name of the marina escapes me but it was behind the old Wild Duck In). Anyways he used to take his sailboat up to Pitt Lake regularly and I imagine he had more than a 4' draft. I just checked my Navionics app and it looks navigable. North Arm of the Fraser would be shorter trip for you coming from West Van. Watch for deadheads in the river, they are common especially at slack tide. Good luck!
