So my vessel view says that my pitot sensor pressure is low. I have 6.2l Horizon engines with v-drives. I didn't think my boat had a pitot sensor, I thought only I/O's had them! I was thinking there must be a plug at the end of a harness somewhere with some water in it. Any ideas?

Mine has 8.1 v drives, and there is a paddle wheel transducer on the bottom for water speed. Not absolutely sure, but as far as I know the pitot tube is only on outdrives. The water speed is so inaccurate I'm thinking of getting rid of the gauge and putting something more useful in the space.

yes, I do have the wheel and I clean the paddle wheel every year and it usually stops reading by July, I don't believe that could be causing the alarm.

I have a pitot sensor on the BIII and smartcraft.

In the smartcraft setup, I can turn the pitot sensor input on or off.

Is it possible for you to do that in vessel view? Basically telling it that you don’t have a pitot speed sensor.

I tried that, it lets me change the settings on it but it will not allow me to disable it. It is confusing because I shouldn't even have one.

I called Mercruiser tech support and they where very helpful, they gave me the location of the wire in the harness, they also suggestion and told me how to reset all the sensors. I guess with v-drives, it uses the same harness for the rudder angle sensor. My rudder angle sensor was working fine so I reset the sensors and the alarm is gone. I have used the boat 3 times since then and it has not returned. I wish all fixes where this easy, and cheap!
