Finally finished our latest project. Put up a spider net when we got tired of cleaning up all of the spider poop. Was a pain in the ass, but keeps the boat much cleaner.

How does that work? Don't they just make their nests on the netting?

Very common here on Texas lakes. Our boathouse had 100% of the slips covered with the netting. Otherwise spider poop covers your boat in a week or two and is like little epoxy dots that are a total PITA to remove. Spiders don't build in the netting, nor do birds land on it. It's too mobile and unstable for them.

Very interesting to know. Spider crap is a real pain to get rid of. I get it along the topsides under the bow rails because that is where they make the webs.

If anyone has a good poop cleaner that doesn’t strip the wax, that would be good to know about.

Ya know it is really crazy that we have to clean up pretty much microscopic feces! And that they are like enamel-like when we do clean it up….
Ugh!
