When I went down to pick up my new 260da I saw there was a leak under the sink I told the dealer about this and they said they would fix it. I went down to the dock the next day so my wife and I could spend the weekend on our new boat. When my wife stepped down below she stepped into a puddle of water. when I used the bathroom the vacuflush didn't work. I told the dealer and about this and they came down and said it was because of the leak and they would take care of it. I picked up the boat a week later and they said everything was taken care of When I got to our dock I tried the vacuflush and it still didn't work. I called them and they came down and fixed the vacuflush a few days later while they were there I ask why I had no TV reception they said all boats are like that. I took off one of my arch panels last night and to my surprise the glowmax and my radio were never hooked up :smt013 I don't know what to do but 2weeks of searay ownership has sucked. Ps. I love the boat.

Unfortunate but true... These are dealership issues. Have a heart to heart with the service manager and explain your issues. Ask why this boat was not inspected prior to delivery. There should be a checksheet filled out prior to delivery. Who ever signed off on it wasn't doing his or her job...

If your dealer was MMax, they have a separate "customer satisfaction coordinator." You can also try this person. I would take photos and document everything. If you're not getting results from the dealer, contact Sea Ray, but only after you have exhausted all options at the dealer.

The stereo and tv antennas disconnected is strange. If these were factory installs, why were they disconnected? If these were dealer installs, then someone forgot.

On the tv issue, don't be surpised if even with the antenna you get zero or weak reception. Most people report weak or no signals issues with these.

Congrats on the new (excellent choice of a) boat :smt001
Take heart in the fact that this is more common than not and I doubt there's a new boat owner among us who didn't have an initial puchlist of things that were missed or needed to be dealt with. When I went for my shakedown trip a month ago (the dealership is not local to me) the dealer had me indicate anything, no matter how small, that wasn't exactly as it should have been. From a burnt out light bulb to a defective Glomex switch and a disconnected satellite antenna, there was definitely "stuff." Fortunately, they didn't miss one major mechanical item, if there were any. So build a puchlist, and let them have at it. And you can also take heart in the fact that my cabin entry carpet was also wet because of a leak that they had fixed before I got there. Great chance to exercise the dehumidifier. Best of luck!

Well my wife, kids and I do love the boat. My wife and I slept on it 7 nights so far. I got a great dock spot and the dealership I bought the boat from is really nice. When I ran my cable from the glowmex to my Tv I picked up the 3 major stations. I know they will take care of it. When I turned on the glowmex I got no stations why would that be. With the switch off I get 3 stations with it on I lose them all. I thought it was going to make them come in better. This is my first boat and I can see myself on it at least 5 days a week. Anyway I guess I will have lots of questions.

You’ll find a lot of dialogue on the Glowmax switch by doing a search and plenty of helpful advice on the 260DA in its own thread under “Sport Cruisers.†And lots of encouragement to post pix now that you have her! Again, congrats & good luck!

Bottom line:
Sea Ray boats are what I would consider the top of the line for this segment of the market.
They do have sub-systems that are manufactured by other companies.
Your dealer should make those sub - systems operate correctly.
and....
PS...Happy that you "Love the Boat"

These kind of issues is what makes the new buying experience stink. Once the bugs are exterminated, get on with enjoying the boat. Hang in there...it will only get better

Sounds like you getting some great advice. Keep adding and subtracting the items from your punch list. I'm sure your dealer will take care of it. They want you satisfied so you will give them a good report on the survey you get from SeaRay.

I understand your frustration. I had to work through what I thought were more problems than I should have had with a new boat, but like others have said, work though them, then get on with enjoying your boat. I have had all my problems taken care of and am now having a blast every weekend.

My MM dealer promptly fixed the items on my punch list. I ran into the assistant service manager the other day and he asked if the boat needed anything. I busted my brain trying to come up with something I might need done but couldn't.
BTW, my galley sink dripped on my carpet. I loosened the clamp and found the drain hose wasn't inserted all the way on the sink bowl stem. Fixed in 2 seconds.

sometimes, if you want something done right, ya gotta do it yourself. even when you drop upwards of $75K on a new boat :smt013

I haven't spent nearly that much on a boat...but I've found that to be the way with MOST things in life.....very sad to say.
