High water, very little entertainment, fight on the island with police, the group vowing to return and get even, and now fireworks are canceled. I'd have to say what else can go wrong for Put In Bay?

PIB better get this under control. If not then their revenue streams (us boaters) will run dry quickly. I’m heading there in July and I’ll back out in a heart beat if there’s more news like this.

I am there over the next 3 weekends after this weekend.... I wouldn't hesitate to go or allow these thugs to decide for me.... but I have other friends saying they are going to wait a while

PIB hasn't been a boater's island since before the Jet Express started running in the late 80s. It was pretty cool back then as all of the day tourists left by 9pm on the Miller Ferry. Now the Jet Express dumps 5k-10k daily onto the island and that provides a hell of a lot more revenue than a couple hundred boaters.

I liked B Dock back when if you got to b dock and were the first boat. You called who rafted off you until 6:00 Friday. And boy did we party on the dock. As said that was before Jet Express, all the hotels, and all the swimming pools. It was a boater's island. Pat Daily packed the Beer Barrel and at 7:00 pm he'd say alright all you ferry boaters (Miller Ferry)need to leave the island. Then Pat would say all the rest of you sonsabitches its time to party.

Hell yeah, brother. Do you remember the gravel on B-dock, the wooden extension? Witnessed my first wet T-shirt contest and chick-fight when I was ten in 1975. I've been infatuated with naked boobies ever since.

Here's another one for old timers. Do you remember Bufford T. WaterPistol?
 
B Dock used to have a King and Queen voted on by the people at the Round House bar. We also had a B Dock Trash party in the winter time around January and February. One of the party's at the Fremont fair grounds where there were over 350 people that showed up.
We eventually changed the name to just Docktrash and carried on with winter party's for well over 25 years. The Docktrash party has evolved through the years and the format of the party has changed but there still is a Docktrash party. It is at Ed's Commodore Inn.
 
Ended up going over to PIB Saturday and stayed the night. I had friends over at crews nest. The two boats were flying trump flags one said Trump 2020 no more bullshit. The nest came over and said a couple of customers have complained about the word shit that this is a family place and we don’t want to offend anyone.... Pete said no problem and went down and got some tape and covered up shit... everyone was happy then.... well sort of happy they were really hoping to have the flags taken down
In town Saturday night was a bit rowdy....if you were white you were a minority....and I mean like you were the only white people walking around.... I saw a cop walking down the sidewalk and a black woman walking backwards in front of him flipping the bird with both hands and calling him a phuckin racist..... that was about the worse I saw and the cop did nothing. The golf cart gong show was open container and everyone smoking pot.... the intire Main Street smelled like pot....that was a first..... again the cops doing nothing that I saw.
I was walking from downtown back to the nest and right in front Of the restaurant a golf cart goes by and they say to each other this is where all the republicans are....I thought that was funny.
The town is beside themselves.... I heard that’s why they cancelled the fireworks... they are having a town meeting this week to come up with a solution.... will be interesting to see what they come up with. We are there the next 3 weekends....so will be interesting.

and then there are the usual crowd....this guy was really tired ... dinner at Hooligans

Beer barrel was pretty full With live bands.... and they were pretty good.
