Anyone use this product for anti fouling on there outdrives? I painted mine with it but I was thinking of coating over the alumaspray with Trilux 33 instead. Did the Alumaspray work well, if anyone tried it?

I've used it as long as I've had a slip, this my third boat in a slip.

I've had very good luck with it, but I noticed that the price went up significantly last spring.

Be sure not to paint the zincs or propellers with it.

And when you paint the bottom, ( I recommend Petit Hydrocoat) run a piece of masking tape on the transom,
around the outdrive housing where it meets the hull, so that there is about 3/4" of hull around the outdrive with no bottom paint.

This is so that the copper in the bottom paint cannot react with the aluminum in the outdrive.

Was there alot of slime/barnicles on the drive when you pull it at the end of summer with the ALUMASPRAY?
I hear that the trilux 33 works better than spray

Quite a few barnacles, always.
Some years more than others, depending on water temp, etc.

I don't touch them in the fall, and during spring clean-up, they pop right off after the cold winter.
