Has anyone installed Perfect Pass to their sport boat? The web site says that it will work with stern drive boats and I need something to help the wife maintain speed. It's expensive, but cheaper than a divorce.

I have not used Perfect Pass on a Sea Ray but a friend has it on his Nautique. We ski every Saturday morning and it works great. You just program your weight and desired speed and save it. Then all you ever need to do is turn on Perfect Pass, select your profile and jam on the throttle. Perfect pass maintains the speed perfectly. Its awesome.

I've had it in my ski boats (Nautiques) for years. It makes driving for a skier very easy. Install it on your boat and teach her how to drive straight and you will be all set.
Problem is when you don't make the pass you will have to blame something other than the boat driver.
Also the older Perfect pass was designed to adjust speed via magnets in the ski course although it will stay pretty close without them.
The new design works off GPS and I hear it's the bomb.

One of my planned winter projects is to install perfect pass on my 2007 185 sport. Been thinking about it for a while and now that they've come out with the stargazer version that uses GPS to control speed you don't have to drill a big hole in you bottom for the older style paddle wheel speedometer. It's pricey, but it's dang near impossible for me to hold wakeboard speed when you're right at the verge of being on/off plane.

I have Perfect Pass on my 200 Select and really do like it. I've tried pulling someone without it, and it's no contest as to which way is the best if your going to maintain constant speed in the turns.

For those with stargazer edition....any issues with satellite syncing? I have heard it can sometimes not update position frequently enough leading to issues?? Curious as I am also looking at a possible install on this...

I installed it on my 185 Sport - the StarGazer edition. It is awesome - even for someone who can drive the boat it is great. Only a speed needs to be entered for the newer StarGazer edition. I am an authorized dealer for PerfectPass also. Install is very easy and straightforward.

I installed StarGazer Wake Edition. I have had no problems with satellite reception at all. I put the antenna on the dash. It is nice to have gps speed readings too. I have Smart Craft Gauges and had to buy an adapter because when I removed the Speedometer the harness was not long enough to reach my trim gauge
