I pulled my pcv valves for the first time and there is no valve, just a hollow elbow.
The parts diagram for my serial number shows a valve. Curious what others have.

Don’t mess up your vacuum. Get a service manual! Follow those procedures.

Ok, dumb question, but. I was looking at a parts diagram for an unrelated item and noticed they show the pcv valve on the starboard side (same side as my oil fill), but my owners manual says the pcv is on the port side. My port side has a hollow elbow connected to a flexible plastic tube going to the flame arrester.

My starboard side does have a rubber hose, (don't know where it goes) but I've never pulled it. So.... which side is the pcv supposed to be in?

My pcv is on the stbd side and I had to remove the shift plate to get to it
