Paste or liquid wax?

I thought about the Presta wax as well. I put the Star Brite PTEF on the hull sides last weekend and will do topsides on Wednesday after I clean up the remaining compound. Boat looks great but I may do the Presta wax topsides once she is in the water this spring. I couldn't believe how easy the Star Brite was to apply...

I've been boating for over 50 yrs. (power, sail and ice) used every wax and polish I could lay my hands on and finally found what I consider the best. Www.finishfirstpolish.com.
I use their products on the boats AND the cars.
Very easy to use (leave it on for days before dust off) removes scratches (polymer) no build-up. I've given this as a gift to friends and they are hooked. (Feel like a drug dealer)
I know what you're thinking and the answer is no!! However, I wish I DID own the company!!!

Well, I just finished the majority of my boat today--still a few areas to hit once we are in the water this Spring. I can't smoke a cigar in heated storage so I will wait till I am outside to finish up.

Anyhow, Presta SuperCut, Presta Ultra Cutting Creme, Star Brite Polish with PTEF. She shines pretty now! My boat had no shine last year and I can't believe the difference. A big thanks to everyone for your suggestions on what works best.

Still going to do one more coat of polish and then add the Presta UV wax. For now, though, I am going to rest my shoulders!

All in, 24 hours of solo labor and the pride of knowing I did it myself!

Now that's what I am talking about! I spent about 10 hours so far but have another 6 or 8 to go and I am ready to blind people as I cruise by them. Great job Bryan and if I was any help, I learned it all here.

Looks Great Humph! Just waiting for the weather to warm up a bit here in MD and I will be rubbing for at least a few hours. I've been reading this thread with intrest. I'm going to follow the advise here and try some of these products. I'm starting with Buff Magic and then Star Brite polish, then with a wax finish. Haven't decided on the wax yet. Thanks All, Very informative.

Does anybody have LONG term experience with Presta UV wax??

I used Presta super cut and it was awesome if wax is half as good as super cut I want to use it also. I have been using 3M Scotchguard wax and it has been "average". UV seems to impact gelcoat wax the most.

Your advice--wherever you got it from--helped a ton! Thanks!
