I just purchased a Bazooka transom setup that will allow me to have speakers and a wired remote. The purpose is to control the volume on the swim platform seperately from the main system so the swimmers don't blow out the others inside the boat. The transom package comes with a small amp and a remote that operate independently form the other speakers. The amp can take one input which I have decided to be my main head unit. I have pass thru outputs on my exisitng amps but i am having trouble figuring out how the system will recieve a good signal. I know the pass through will work but I'm sure it is a varible output controlled by the headunit. That would mean that if the head unit is turned to low volume for the topside passengers then the transom amp will get a very low signal forcing the swimmers to turn the transom speakers up to full. Any suggestions on how i can get a fixed output for the transom?

I am not sure if I am understanding you 100%, but here is what I think... If your head unit has pre-amp outputs, they are static, which means they send out a certian voltage level signal no matter the volume setting on the head unit. As you turn up the volume on the head unit, the signal going to the amplifier does not increase in strength, it simply tells the amplifier to produce more decibels from the signal it was already receiving. Pre-amp outputs are fairly common, most head units come with 1 set, better head units will have 2 or 3 sets. They simply look like the old RCA cable one red and one white, then you can use regular RCA cables to connect it to the amp. Does your system have pre-amp out puts or not?
