I want to partially winterize my freshwater system and I need some validation of my idea or other suggestions. I want to remove water from the anchor locker line, transom locker line, transom shower, and the washer/dryer supply lines.
I have a water manifold and a “key” to turn each small valve off/on for each line. If I just cut off the valves going to the lines I want to drain and then open the spigots, I am afraid they will not drain due to forming a vacuum. My thought is to hook up an air compressor with low pressure, open one outlet at a time and remove all water from the freshwater system. Then close the valves to the lines I do not want water in before turning the water back on.
Thoughts/suggestions?
Thanks,
Bennett
