Pachanga 27 Project Complete!

Wow thank you for all the kind responses. I'm taken, I though I was the only guy out there that enjoys keeping the old ones alive! Sea Rays never get old they have amazing lines!

I'm running a Bravo 1 X drive 1:50 with a 14 3/4" X 19p Prop SS 3 Blade. Actually I have not had to touch the tabs yet she eats out of the hole all by herself. the Holley is a Marine 850. Your numbers are close but this big pig would need 600 HP + to hit 70, I run the in the mid 60's comfortable. Thanks for the kudos!

SWEET!! OK...so I'm guessing that you can throttle back and run 3500 RPM +/- @ about 45~50 on the primaries

Out of curiosity...how is that hull at 60+? Does it track well or is it trying to get out of the water and dart around? That's kind of what I was referring to with the tabs. I had a 27' Formula with twin 320 EFI's that would break 70 but was a handful on any thing beyond 3' seas.

Very nicely done Capt.

...don't worry...you are in good company!! Many of us have ventured in a similar crazy project!!! For example I'm doing the same on my 1990 390EC

There was a guy on here with a 240 sleeper Sundeck with a big block. Posted a UTube video of it idling, and another of it flying through the water. One of the nicest sounds you ever heard. Any chance we could get a listen to your boat too?!!!
