Guys, I bought a really nice HD projector to show football games at the dock and have no issue connecting it to a DirecTv receiver. I'd like to be able to use it while on the water with one of these floating screens I've seen for pools. Does anyone have any experience or can recommend a stand alone over the air HD tuner? I'd prefer something that doesn't need a wifi connection but open to ideas.

Would the tuner be enclosed? I like the HD Homerun's. You can get a couple tuners for $100 or less. I'm thinking of adding a quattro (4 tuners) as I have the ability to use a small computer as a DVR/media server.

It could be, but I like the idea of just having it next to or on top of the projector itself. The HD Homerun units look nice but it seems you have to use an app and have wifi. I am looking for a solution like a simple HD OTA tuner, I've seen a few on Amazon for $40, so it's not a big deal, but if there are other options, I am all ears. I don't want to use apps, I want the local stations.

I use one of the ones on Amazon at home, mediasonic I believe. Works great with just a leaf antenna.

Those should get the job done for you, you could put it somewhere semi-permanent in the cabin or something and use a wireless hdmi transmitter to the projector. That way you can put the protector anywhere and only need the little receiver plugged into hdmi, some of those are even USB powered so if your projector has a USB port you’d only need one AC plug.
