Out of a center console and into comfort - 2005 290 AJ

Well ... I did it. I sold my 32 ZF Donzi and decided to fish and cruise in comfort. I'm new to the site and a new Sea Ray owner. I moved to Austin Tx 2 years ago from South Florida. I come from a family of fishing guides that go back 2 generations and they don't support the idea that I own a cruiser/fishing boat instead of a center console. So far, no going back to the CC's.

I can't wait to trailer it to the coast to test it in the Gulf. I slept on Lake Travis this weekend with the kids and it was awesome. Let's hope it handles the offshore. I would love to hear feedback from someone that owns a 290 Amberjack.

We have had our 05 29 AJ for 3 seasons in rhode Island Have cruised all around long island and Cape Cod Wife loves its cruising ability And Me and my grand kids love its fishing ability Great combo boat!!! She handles Buzzards bay snotty water just fine . Good luck with her We have logged 300 problem free hours and can't wait for the spring
