Doe anyone know the name or contact information for the original vinyl manufacturer for the cockpit seats for an '02 340DA?
It is pretty much imposssible to re-do seats with the exact original color.
:smt100Thought I might have some luck in case that info is out there.
Thanks!

I believe Sea Ray made the seats. You might be able to order new skin from Sea Ray thru a dealer, but that is doubtful.

Even if you get OEM skins or even new seating, you will have mismatched colors because your vinyl will have faded in the 10 years since your boat was produced. The plasticizer leaches out of the vinyl and it will fade or get sort of gray looking after some time. We have excellent luck here with local canvas and upholstery guys, but this is a coastal region and replacing/matching factory vinyl isn't a rare request. I think our canvas shop stocks 8-10 different types of white vinyl.

But good luck with getting a match that suits you.

Thanks for the reply Frank.
I did forget to mention that I was only planning on reupholstering the aft seats due to sun damage. Thus the problem color matching.
The white vinyl has a slight cream color tinge. It is definitely not pure white.

I think, but I'm not positive, that Morbern is the actual supplier of vinyl. But the "maker" of the skins is, as Frank mentioned, made in-house. Unless you're making the skins yourself, I'd second Frank's recommendation of trying to find someone local where they will provide the vinyl and the finished product.

Do you know the colour name? Perhaps from an owner's manual.
I had a heck of a time getting the Morbern fabric to match mine.
Bristol was able to find some of both fabrics. It's a Vanilla & likely not really a popular colour as new.

No color name listed in the original SR docs. The closest color I found is made by Morbern. It is Yorktown-White.

I called Searay and they gave me the manufacturer along with the the name and color. Googled it and found many suppliers of the vinyl. Bought what i needed and found the best upholstery shop. came out perfect. My make was the mobern sea brook sea white D. I would verify yours with sea ray.

Surprising as mine is only a year older than yours. My Vanilla was listed as " Vinyl, Seabrook D Van Exp Flat" I understand the terms mean Seabrook = the pattern/grain imprinted in the fabric, D = finish, Van= vanilla, Exp Flat = expanded foam back, flat contour.

Call Sea Ray with the HIN & they can tell you exactly what was put on the boat as new.
