Hi, I have run all the wires out of the metal tube Atlantic arch and I am getting ready to drill my hole into the side of the boat. There is about 3/4 in. diameter of Cables & loose wires. I do have the "vent clam" to cover the hole.
My Question is what do I use to protect the wire and make it look good?
I have seen some Rubber Grommets for protection. not sure if they will work since they are used for metal, the side of the boat, maybe a little thicker? Do I just use some White electrical tape? Rubber Shrink tubes?
Thanks John G.

Grommets are great for where the wires exit the hole in the tower.

For the exposed wires (between the arch and the boat) you could use split wire conduit. A nicer look than the plastic split stuff is braided loom. I'd also stick with black.

Don't forget to fill the clam shell hole with silicone.

Any chance you can run the wires through the center of the tower mounts? That way you won't see the wires at all.

Ok, Thanks. No chance to run on the inside. The dam radar cable is so thick for a little 12" radar dome.
Looks like many options. Can even get Kevlar. John G

That's alright - it's probably only going to be a short piece, right? Sea Ray even runs it outside their wakeboard towers for a few inches.

The reason I like the braided stuff is it gives it a smoother look and you shouldn't need to have any visible zip ties, either. If you can get silver, that may look good. If not, stick with black.

John, if you decide to go with the black braided stuff, I have some left over 3/8" and 3/4" stuff from installing rear monitors in my Suburban. If you want some, just PM me your address and how much you need and I'll pop it in the mail to you. The 3/4" stuff will stretch from 1/2" on up to at least 1" - it's made like Chinese finger cuffs.

Thanks for the offer. I am going to see what the smallest amount I can buy. I put in a water pump and GPS transducer and really should protect the wires. Never ends....
