I am wanting to replace my existing battery for my 99 Bowrider 180 and there are a few different Optima Blue Top models so I am not sure which one to go with. Unfortunately at this time I am only using one battery on the boat.

D27M
D34M
D31M

I do have a pretty good audio system with amps etc..s so I am leaning towards the dual purpose one but not sure.

Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated :smt038

On my 340, I went with deep cycle, Blue Top Optimas. We do not need HUGE cold cranking amps. We have multiple batteries to supply continued power to multiple luxuries while on the hook. Don't pick a battery that will get you out of a snow drift after months of non use. Pick batteries that will not be damaged after several weekends on the hook with the 'fridge draining the reserve. Get the deep cycle batt's.

d31m is the one with largest capacity/most lead/biggest in size, my pick.

Well got the battery today and found that only the D34M was the only size that would fit in the tray and unfortunately could not find the space to house the D31/D27...oh well got a new battery anyways :smt038
