Fresh water
My first Mercury.
The manual says 190* is when the warning buzzer is activated.
I've had this boat out three times now and runs great. But watching the temp gauge makes me leery. It runs between 180 and 200. The pump is pumping water out of the external tube.
Doesn't appear to be running hot - - but the warning buzzer came on when slowly cruising yesterday.
Battery voltage good.
The oil injection tank may have dropped low. The buzzer stopped after about 5 min and didn't come back on. I later checked the injection oil tank (on the motor) and it was full. However, the reserve tank (on the floor) oil level had dropped. Best I can figure is it took about 5 min to resupply the oil level from the floor tank.
So - - is this a normal thing when the oil level drops in the injection oil tank?
My initial question still haunts me. Could be a not so accurate temp gauge .....
Thanks
