open marinas in winter on LKN....

The water is still on at midway marina!? How did it not freeze is quizzing my head. No, there isn't any insulation, and the pipes are naked to the weather. I have to talk to the marina manager. I wonder if he opens a spigot somewhere overnight, and closes it during the day.

How long was the temperature below freezing and how much of the pipe is exposed? Even though it may have got down to 10 degrees, how long do you think it stayed there? This has always been interesting to me. 32* may be water's "freezing point", but it takes a long time to freeze a half a gallon of water.

If I had to guess....7-8 hours below freezing, a couple of hours around 10?
All of the pipes are uninsulated.
