One tab won't go down

for $400 bucks i would have found a place for the switches!
noticed it also does the eng hatch. Have you installed and eng lift wire bypass?

Update: Marina screwed up and sent wrong side of helm switches, so now I wait another's damn 5 days for sea ray to ship right switches to even see if it fixes the problem. Ahhhhhhh!!!!!! :smt021

We have good wind this spring and we were out the other day and felt like I was healing in a sailboat without the port tab.

What is eng lift wire bypass?

Conclusion: Correct switch pad finally arrived today and trim tabs now fully operational. The original switch pad had some minor cracks in the back which must have let water leak in and led to failure.

During diagnostics, we did get the faulty switch to intermittently latch up relay in the EIM but not consistently. Switch must have not had enough power/signal to get relay to hold latched.

It does also give me a peak into the mind of the Sea Ray engineers. Would be interesting to understand what the value of this low voltage (5V) to relay system has over Bennett's traditional (and simple!!!!) 5 wire design. If this had been standard five wires, issue would have been fixed weeks ago and likely for less than the $400 I spent on the new pad.

Thanks to Tom at Bennett and others for the response, much appreciated.

If anyone else has this issue in the future, please post here, interested if this is the anomaly issue I think it probably was.

I've had the same issue, but I have Lenco tabs. Mine was a seized up gear housing. One I replaced, the other I said what the heck and took it apart and fixed it. It's a bit loud but works better than ever....
