It took me about a year to finish my registration , couldnt figure out why I couldnt log in until I checked my old emails and replied.
Hello to all and a shout out to the few Ive noticed who also float on and around the beautiful Okanagan lake.

Welcome. I believe you're the third member from up there. Look for Chris Nowell and AMFM3. They're both in your neighborhood.

Welcome to CSR. There are a few of us here in Kelowna and the surrounding area. Matter o' fact, we just bumped in to a "lurker" at one of the annual club meetings last Sunday,,,,,,,,,, Hi Dot

Got any pics to share?

I do have some pics, I thought I put one in my signature but it doesn't seem to be there, I will figure it out, I think it was too big maybe. I can build almost anything but computers things tend to frustrate me.

Same. We're moored at KYC and live right in the heart of town. Kinda fortunate as there is absolutely NO parking for the 1206 slips in the club. We haul out at the Grand and store the trailer at the yard at work on end of Gordon Dr. Do ya's moor or trailer, and where do ya launch?

Welcome to CSR! Yes the Okanagan is beautiful and great boating.

We are on AA Dock at Shelter Bay. If you're headed across the bridge into West Kelowna look for the sailboat that's still in the water. We're in the empty slip to the right during the season. We're also members of the Yacht Club and I'm the current Commander of the Power Squadron.

Uploading pictures is much easier once you become a sponsor on the site! Then you can post pics like Chris is asking for.

We launch at the Grand, we do not have a slip so it's part of our daily boating routine. It's not bad as we live on Knox overlooking SunRype and Cooksons so it's a 5 minute drive, 5 minutes at the ramp and 1/2 hour to park outside of the 2 hour parking zones, haha, maybe less than that but it feels like it some days.
I have a international 5 ton pulling a tandem trailer at work and grew up pulling boats so I don't mind that part, just the spots for parking something 40 + long can be hard to find some days.
We plan on joining KYC in the not too distant future so we can get on the list for when we trade the 220 for a 30 ish DA or similar cruiser. Love the SeaRay but those Formulas and Cobalts are looking real sweet also. We are not in a rush though, our youngest are 14 and 16 so we still like to head out with a pile of young uns on board for the afternoon before we send them on their way and go back out for the evening slow putt to watch the sunset and just float.
That rebuild of th KYC sure looks nice but they filled up the only place for turning around and strapping/unstrapping with parking stalls. There are so many people walking across there that we need all the space we can get. It is still a far better launch spot than the Eldorado and I couldn't get my old 190 off the trailer at the tugboat bay launch, I had 40 ft of water in front off my truck and the trailer fenders weren't even wet yet. I chickened out , didn't want to be that guy pulling his truck out of the lake.
We have some friends that cruise out of KYC and some that moor at Shelter Bay and also some out Of WYC that we hook up with from time to time but you can't have too many friends on the water.
We are so looking forward to the new season and are itching to get the right weather for it.
Still working on getting pics up, it shows them when I look at my profile but I think I need to figure out how to resize them.
Cheers.

I am guessing this will work.

Good job. I think you can make an album as part of your profile. We did it quite some time ago but I can't remember how. Just keep playin' with it 'till ya get it I guess. Curious, what do you haul with your work truck. I'm in the business,,,,, right under your house,,,,,, the one that's not SunRype

I am in landscaping, the truck has a 14 ft dump box so it hauls.... anything we put in it. It has been in that shop a time or two for various repairs over the last 5 years. The trailer generally hauls a skidsteer, but there are other things that get moved around also.

I couldn't upload photos here so I made a photobucket, it doesnt work, I will try again.

Cool pics, thanx. Good to see you guys get a lot of use out of the boat.

We had driven through the area last fall, the Okanagan looks like a great place to boat. I was amazed at the size of the lake and the beauty of the water.

While we're up here for a bit and our boat is still in TX it made us home sick (boat sick).

My brothers boat was in texas, he lived in Houston, they just moved it to somewhere in Florida, 30something DA called never enuff.
Yes, the Okanagan is a great placd to boat and to live.

Good stuff ... Your brother's lucky as Florida has much better water than the Houston area.
