Hey Gang...
I am looking to add to the fleet and I've been searching for the right 240SD. I have been doing regular searches on all of the classified sites/MM and the sweeping searches on Oodle. I've also been checking the sites of the many independent dealers that don't broadly advertise and have a few dealers looking out for me. I am posting here in hopes that someone may have a lead somewhere other than the usual spots, including dealerships. If it's on BT, YW etc, I've seen it and for one reason or another haven't yet pursued it - and I did check Jim's listings first.
Based on certain features and the general asking price range, I'm focusing on finding an '06, although I'm now seeing '07's coming into the right range and have begun to shift in that direction. The 350 Mag and the port bucket seat are my only must-haves. Beyond that, everything is a preference but I am flexible.
-I would prefer a freshwater boat but certainly won't rule out a properly cared-for saltwater boat. Lack of bottom paint is preferred.
-I am hoping to find a pewter hull (there are several out there) but know I can't be too picky.
-I am willing to travel/ship but the closer proximity to the greater metropolitan New York City area, the better.
It's a wish-list for sure, but I figured I would start here and see where the search takes me. I am extremely grateful for any thoughts and look forward to being back in the Sea Ray fold before too long.
