Old Norcold Refrigerators

The fridge will not fit thru the companionway. Half of the TV/fridge cabinet must be removed first. Remove TV and top of cabinet trim. Remove old fridge and place inside boat. Cut cabinet with fine tooth sabre saw at top, lower left side, and in the back near bottom. This allows half of the cabinet to be removed. Take out old fridge and bring in new. Reattach removed half of cabinet, install fridge and TV. Cuts you make to cabinet are not visible unless you know they are there. Good Luck.
Thanks, I will look into Vitrifrigo!

Swanny, I had mine replaced and to get it out of the boat we took it apart. I gave the power supply and thermostat which were both good to the refrigeration guy that put in the new one for me in case anyone needed it. I had heard they were hard to find. He might still have it. George at Coastal Marine 706-387-0120.

By the way, there is a whole thread on removing and replacing the fridge in the 410 and 400 Sundancer Forum. We didn't have to cut anything but it was a pain in the ass. I paid the guys $400 to make sure I didn't screw it up.
