There is a right way and a wrong way to pronounce it.

If you say OK...laHOMA

You're WRONG!!!!!

The proper way is:

OKLA.. ...HOMA

There's a gap between the 'a' and the 'h'.

Granted I'm a Yankee, but isn't there some longstanding rivalery between folks in OK and TX? Wouldn't that make your comments somewhat, well, biased?

As for pronunciation, I do believe Rogers and Hammerstein got it right.

yes it's a rivalrey...but a good one...We love okies..in fact they save our lives everyday.....Why has Texas not fallen into the Gulf of Mexico?.......because oklahoma sucks!......But seriously...it's a healthy rival....good fun every year in Dallas at the Redriver shootout in October.
