IMHO - Just one more thought to keep in mind when naming a boat. Keep it simple. If you are going to be doing trips where you are going to be haled/called by other boats, lock master, dock master, etc sure is nice if it is a simple name not a mile long one.

Captain Jack from the Black Pearl – I like it and think you need custom hats and t-shirts made up for the crew.

Around here if you pull into a busy harbor like Annapolis or St. Michaels and hail “Black Pearl”, you are likely to have 3 or 4 boats come back to you, but maybe not on your lake.
