Hello I have a issue with my MerCruiser 5.7 horizon brovo III outdrive.

The power tilt n trim is leaking when I power up or down. the tilt n trim with out it started and I see the rainbow.

But on a different time I don't mess with the power, tilt and trim.
I just start the engine then I get a oily bubbly and rainbow. I got pictures and video hope I can post. Can someone please advise I Have an idea it's the hydraulic cylinders that's leaking but I'm confused I am not messing with the tilt n trim.

the boat is docked so that is why I can do it at different times.

Have somebody stand in the back of the boat with the engine off and tilt the motor up and down and look for the oil if you don't see it start the engine up and then see if you can see the oil You may need to pull the boat out of the water to find leak and repair

Thank you for the reply
Yes I see the rainbow when I do just the Tilt n trim up n down only the rainbow

no bubbles the bubbles only come wen started n rainbow

I don't understand what you mean by bubbles when you start it of course it will it has exhaust coming out of it if you can see fluid with the trim only you probably have a leak somewhere

What kind of boat and what engine does it have and what year

Sorry, I should've been a little more specific hard to explain, but as you the bubbles come up to the surface and release some sort of oil or gas. Not sure tho I guess I'll have to get a trailer to pull it out. Thanks again for your reply.

It's a 2008 Searay SD 260
5.7 Merc cruiser horizon with a bravo, three outdrive single

If bubbles come up when you put the out drive down and oil and bubbles come up you have a leak in your outdrive. A prop seal or another seal is leaking
