Oil coming from fresh water drain - any thoughts?

Clean oil is leaking out of the port opening that drains the sink. How could oil get into that line? Very odd. No oil in bilge. I ran water through the sink and the oil seems to have stopped.

If it's truly oil, then the only logical explanation is that something had spilled into the sink. Otherwise, maybe it was not really oil and, instead, sludge buildup in the line that was melting/oozing out.

It could be food oil from someone rinsing/washing dishes, or someone spilled skin lotion in sink etc.

Problem solved. There is a drain in the storage cabinet under the sink. I had spare oil in there that was leaking. The vibration of the boat must have degraded the plastic container.
