Oh Snap!

My 1999 Sundancer 270 is missing a few snaps for the camper cover... and one came out of the side of the boat. Is there a kit I can buy to replace these? Any thoughts? Thanks

Yes, any marine store (and I'm sure lot's of other stores) will carry a snap kit.

Yup. Just buy some new stainless snaps. You may need to fill the old holes with epoxy and redrill to give the screws something to "bite".

There are several threads on this. If the snap is the screw side in the fiberglass, check this out http://clubsearay.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9199&highlight=snaps. Essentially the best approach is to fill the hole with a resin/epoxy and then re-drill and secure the snap. Many argue over the best resin, but most agree on the approach. I personally use the West System from West marine.

If it is in the canvas, that's a whole lot easier. Just need a good crimping tool.
