OFFICIAL BURGEE ORDERING THREAD

They told me 4-6 weeks. Right now we are at 5 weeks. I'll start sweating next week.

I was hoping to have mine for the June rendezvous so I hope they hurry up.

I'm officially sweating. I have been calling and emailing them all this week and last week. They did not return any of my correspondence. Finally today I called from a different area code and they answered. The guy said a seamstress quit so they have been overwhelmed. Here is what he said regarding the delivery date word for word: "We should have them done in 2 weeks, it shouldn't take any longer than 2 and a half weeks, I promise to have them to you by 4th of July". Sooo....... we'll see. They better do nice work!

Thanks for the update Jim! Nothing says "Independence Day" like a black and yellow burgee!   just kidding... I'm looking forward to flying the burgee!

yikes... dealt with them much before Jim?? Sounds like a 'we should have all our stuff packed up and the phones cut off and moved in a week where no one can find us' operation that I dropped $1500 on one time... :smt013 We'll keep our fingers crossed! I do understand tho how losing an employee in a small operation can really throw one's schedule off.. but not answering phones... :smt018

My nice new shinny clean burgee staff will just have to wait a few more weeks....thanks again for putting this together Jim....

Any word on the burgee's? Are they on schedule?

Check a few posts up about the schedule. The schedule has come and gone, hoping this company can at least do the July 4th deadline. Very frustrating....

I know, I was just trying to be nice. We all share your frustration and we know it is not your fault. Stuff happens.

I don't know what to do about these burgees. The deadline has come and gone twice, and then some. The company has been paid in full on these things for months. And of course they are stil not answering the phone. So..... guess its time to dispute the charge and go to plan B. Anybody have a Plan B

Does anybody know anybody that makes flags/burgees or had any success with a burgee company. If the answer is www.YachtFlag.com please see above.

send them a certified letter requesting your money back or deliver the product within 5 business days. How about knocking on their door. I have my own burgee with my logo but it was 85.00.

The novelty of our new burgee is about to run out.

If you're looking for an alternate source.

SMS Flags in dunedin does a great job. I have had them make a SeaRAY burgee for me and Some Company Pennats for the company I work for. They are SeaRay owners and normally show up at the Customer Appreaciation at Caladesi Island every year. below is the contact information.

SMS FLAGS
2260 Richter Street
Dunedin, Florida 34689-9431
Irene Longino, SMS Flags 727-742-1066

I have no afiliation with SMS, just know they do good work and in a timely manner.

If it were me I'd be posting on all the sites you participate in to NOT do business with these clowns. The amount of time you have given them is more than reasonable. That would be my plan "B". Hopefully no one else will get screwed by them. My 2 cents.

What's more interesting is that they proudly display our club flag in their collection of 709 burgees! Imagine that!

check it out: http://www.yachtflag.com/burgeecollection.html

i just noticed that! The guy replied a few days ago that he was sorry blah blah blah and they are in production and should be ready in a couple of weeks. We'll see.

That would be great! Vaca. starts in 3 weeks. It sure would look good out in front of my boat!
-Mike

It should arrive in 2 weeks, will see. I'll be cruising Nantucket and Sag Harbour for 2 weeks. Looks like I will display mine next summer.

Yachtflag.com is a major disappointment to say the least. No credibility, 2 weeks, sure
